Eating a healthy diet has numerous benefits for both physical and mental well-being. Consuming a balanced diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein sources can improve overall health by providing the body with essential nutrients it needs to function at its best. Eating healthy can also help to maintain a healthy weight, reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer, and improve digestion.
Exercise is an essential component of a healthy lifestyle and is crucial for the overall well-being of individuals of all ages, including children. Regular physical activity helps to improve cardiovascular health, increase muscle strength and flexibility, and promote healthy weight management. Exercise also has a positive impact on mental health, as it releases endorphins that can improve mood, reduce stress and anxiety, and enhance cognitive function.
In 2021, it was discovered that daily participation in sports, exercise, and recreational activities was higher among men, with 23.4% compared to just 19.6% of women.
