Having a regular workout schedule can seem easy to some people. However, for most, it might be a chore. For those who dislike working out, give Zumba a try; it might just be your thing! Zumba was created by a Colombian celebrity trainer Alberto "Beto" Perez, who was inspired by traditional Latin dance. This interval workout combines low- and high-intensity dance moves with squats and other exercises to burn fat, tone, and condition your body, all while improving your fitness endurance and hand-eye coordination.
Maintaining an active lifestyle begins with finding activities you genuinely enjoy. We are happy to include Zumba classes for our members as part of the USFHP TRICARE Prime Enhanced Benefits - Wellness Reimbursement! Zumba can be included in your weekly schedule as often as you like. A regular workout schedule should be one to three times a week, allowing time for other physical activities. You don’t always have to limit yourself to intense cardio or weightlifting for it to be considered exercise. Please consult your healthcare provider before trying Zumba or any other physical activities.
As Open Season continues, please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need help enrolling, switching, or adjusting your plan.
