Every spring I wonder how I’m going to fit into my bikini for the summer. All winter I’ve gorged on whatever I felt like eating, abandoned the gym and barely walked a mile. I need a fast way to lose the extra weight I put on.
With summer just around the corner I found five ways to lose 10 pounds in 10 days.
- Cut Carbohydrates
To lose weight quickly, you must eliminate foods such as bread, pasta and potatoes. All carbohydrates break down into glucose which provides your body with energy. Studies prove that people who cut out all carbohydrates lose weight faster than people who go on low-fat diets.
- Eliminate Junk Food
When trying to lose weight junk food is your arch enemy. Eliminate it from your life. Temptation is hard to fight but think about how you will look this summer prancing around the beach with your shirt off or in a bikini.
- Increase water intake
Some of us hate the thought of drinking water. But studies show if you drink 16oz of water before eating a meal it will help you lose weight. It makes you feel more full and hydrated.
- Lessen Calorie intake/ Eating smaller portions
An average man should eat no less than 1700 calories a day and women no less than 1500. When doing this, be careful you shouldn’t starve yourself it will cause you to feel miserable and sick. Eating smaller portions and healthier meals will give you more energy and allow you to feel better throughout the day. It will also help stop that constant urge of feeling hungry and the temptation to eat more.
- Limit salt intake
Studies have shown that limiting sodium during your diet can help with rapid weight loss. Also it can help reduce high blood pressure. Avoid eating processed foods which tend to be high in salt also if the meal isn’t freshly prepared, always check the nutritional information.
Quick Tip: Avoid driving places you can walk and take the stairs instead of the elevator.
